Having visited Robben Island myself in 2013, it was amazing to hear another anecdote about life on the island and the overall feel of what South Africa was like during the time before Mandela’s release from prison.”

I learned new things about Mandela despite the fact that I thought I already knew his situation well. It was great to hear about his time in prison from a completely new perspective, that of a prison guard.
