The story of the close friendship between a prison warden and a prisoner serving a life sentence is unique and unparalleled.  Christo would like to share his story with interested groups – be they tourists, conferences, corporates, schools or special interest groups.

  • A 35 to 40-minute talk about his life with Mandela – preceded by a short video on his and Mandela’s lives. This is ideal for small and large groups – often the hotel where the group is staying will offer a room for this talk.  Venue and time can be arranged to suit your requirements.

  • Lunch or dinner with a small group of guests – ideally a maximum of 12.  Again, at a time and venue of your choice.

  • Private tours of Robben Island with Christo as the guide – ideally up to 30 guests 

  • Helicopter rides with NAC – a short trip over Robben Island OR our “Freedom Flight” day trip which includes Robben Island, Pollsmoor and Victor Verster (now Drakenstein Correctional Facility) – depending on access to those two facilities; plus lunch at a Mont Rochelle in Franschhoek.

  • A three hour chartered trip around Robben Island with Christo on the Only One yacht or the yacht of your choice

    Christo is now sharing his remarkable story REMOTELY. The talk is entitled Lessons from a Warder and his Prisoner.  Andrew Russell engages in a 40 minute Q and A with Christo covering key experiences and lessons from his journey with Mandela.  During the Q and A we will share a PowerPoint presentation with photos and personal letters to Christo from Winnie and Nelson Mandela.
